1. Who we are

Rockstar Wedding Dance is the website and brand operated by Rock Star Wedding Dance LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a Minnesota limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect on rockstarweddingdance.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our site publishes wedding first-dance guides and resources.

2. Information we collect

We keep collection to a minimum:

1. If you email us or use a form on the site, we receive the information you send, such as your name, email address, and message. Our forms are built with WordPress and Elementor; submissions are delivered to our mailbox and also stored in the site’s database. Forms include a hidden anti-spam field (a “honeypot”) that helps us block automated spam; it collects no information about you. Our mailbox, hello@rockstarweddingdance.com, is hosted by Zoho Mail.
2. If you join our email list, we collect your email address and record when and how you subscribed. Our signup uses double opt-in: you are only subscribed after you confirm through the email we send you. See section 3.
3. Our hosting and security tools keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) that help us run and protect the site.
4. When you buy something, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment information directly; we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive and keep order information: what you bought, when, the price, and the email address for delivery and records.
5. If you buy a product that includes personalized feedback, you may send us recordings of your own practice. We collect the recording and anything visible or audible in it. See section 6 for who can see it and how long we keep it.

3. Email list

If you sign up to our email list, we use MailerLite, an email service, to manage subscriptions and send emails such as our newsletter and product updates. MailerLite processes your email address, your subscription and confirmation records, and engagement information (such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked), which we use to understand whether our emails are useful and to keep the list healthy. We do not sell your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and unsubscribing stops marketing emails. The free checklist our signup offers is delivered as part of joining the list.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use the Complianz consent tool to ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and Complianz keeps a record of the choice you made. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the consent settings on the site.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular and how people find us. Information is collected in aggregate form and is not used to identify individual visitors. The analytics tool has no access to form submissions, email list information, orders, or any video you send us.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

Third-party embeds (such as videos) may set their own cookies after you interact with them; see section 5.

5. Third-party embeds and linked services

Our pages may include content that loads from other services (for example, embedded videos from YouTube). When you interact with embedded content, those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. We do not control third-party embeds and are not responsible for their privacy practices. If you follow a link to a third-party site, that site’s policy applies.

6. Customer messages, purchases, and submitted videos: how we use information

We use the information described in this policy to:

1. respond to inquiries and provide support;
2. operate, secure, and improve the site;
3. deliver the products and services you asked for, including the free checklist, any analysis you buy, and any feedback you request;
4. send service messages about your order, enrollment, or subscription;
5. send marketing emails only to people who joined the email list (section 3);
6. keep business records, including records of purchases and of the terms you accepted.

If you send us a practice video for feedback, we use it only to prepare and deliver your feedback. Access is limited to: you; the instructor preparing your feedback; and the service providers and contractors who work for us and need to handle the video to store, transmit, or deliver the service. We do not publish submitted videos and we never use them in marketing without your separate written consent. Only send videos you have the right to share, including permission from anyone shown in them.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy and for reasonable business and legal records:

1. Email list information is kept while you are subscribed, and subscription records afterwards as part of our consent and business records.
2. Form messages and emails are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless a longer record is needed for an ongoing matter.
3. Submitted practice videos are deleted within 30 days after your feedback is delivered.
4. Purchase and acceptance records are kept, as our business policy, for the life of the customer account plus six years.

You may ask us to delete information about you at any time (section 8), and we will do so except where we must keep a record for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

8. Your choices, and our service providers

You may contact us at hello@rockstarweddingdance.com to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time through the link in any email, and you can change cookie choices through the site’s consent settings. We offer these choices as our practice; where a privacy law gives you additional rights, we will honor them.

We share information only with the service providers we use to run the business, and only as much as each needs:

• DreamHost: website hosting.
• MailerLite: email list management and email sending.
• Zoho Mail: our business mailbox.
• Complianz: cookie consent and consent records.
• Google: analytics (section 4).
• Stripe: payment processing (applies once paid products are offered).

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and for no other reason.

9. Children

This site is directed at adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
